July 30, 2019 St-Jean- de Losne, France boat return

It took us 4 hours to get back to Jean de Losne.  We headed to the marina to have the boat checked out early.  We spent the night on the boat in the marina, just wanted to avoid the rush of people checking in their boats in the morning.  Torben and AnneMarie visited a museum.  Dave took a nap.  He wasn’t feeling very good after eating 2 dishes with raw egg last night.  I took our laundry to the local grocery store.  They had washers and dryers outside of the store.  It cost 8 Euros to wash and 6 Euros to dry 2 loads of laundry.  So close to $10/load.  I had to make change for the machine in the grocery store.  It was the first time I was alone, and the person in the store didn’t speak English.  I was able to explain what I needed with just the little conversational French I had picked up before the trip.  Proud of myself.  Torben had studied French for 4 years in high school.  And Dave has been studying it for several years on his own.  So they usually took care of us.

Dave still wasn’t feeling well, so Torben, AnneMarie and I went on a road trip for dinner.  We drove to Beaune about 30 minutes away.  We walked around the city center and had dinner.
