July 26-27, 2018 Delware Bay to Sandy Hook, NJ passage

We were finally able to leave for Sandy Hook, New Jersey.  We left at noon to give the seas time to calm down after the strong winds.  As we passed Atlantic City, you could see the buildings 20 miles offshore.

Usual shifts for the night, Dave at 8:30 pm, me at 2:00 am.  I overslept this time.  Dave helped me dodge 2 ships before he crashed.

I was able to enjoy another beautiful sunrise.  I could see the Manhattan sky line when I was about 20 miles away from it.  It was 7:30 on a Friday morning.  It was hard to imagine the hustle and bustle of the city 20 miles away when it was so peaceful on the water.

Glad we were anchored before this rolled in
