September 29, 2018 tour of Cape Ann, MA

We went out for breakfast at a little local diner called Mom’s cafe.  The waitress picked up on Dave’s humor right away, which made it entertaining.  Afterwards, Dave went back to the boat to do some work.  Pete and I took off to be tourists.  Dave made water, but also spent time cleaning up the water we took on during our trip here.  This time there were gallons of water.  Not good.

Pete and I drove to Rockport, on the north side of Cape Ann.  We didn’t want to stop an shop.  We just wanted to see the coast.  So we found several areas to pull over and enjoy the view or a walk on the beach.  It was a beautiful day.  We had a mid day small meal of mussels and a mushroom flatbread.

We got back to Gloucester in time for me to go to church.  Dave came to shore and we all met at the Cape Ann brewery near the boat dock.  They served BBQ and the smell of it cooking really brought you in.  It was a nice evening to sit outside on their deck.
