We were up and at it by 5:00 am. Debbie is an early riser, and it was 8:00 to me. After a walk in her neighborhood, we took off for Las Vegas. We passed Hoover Dam along the way and decided to get out and stretch our legs. There was a walkway along the highway that had a great view of the dam, probably better than being on the dam.

the road trip was going fine until something came between us :) |
Martha and Cheryl arrived within 30 minutes of each other. After picking them up, we stopped at a grocery store to stock our Air B&B. Cheryl had arranged a 3 bedroom house with a garage about 15 miles south west of the airport- NOT ON THE STRIP! I think it came to $120/person for 3 nights. We loved it.
We spent the evening getting caught up with each other’s lives. We just picked up where we left off as only great friends can do. We enjoyed shrimp and appetizers. That’s what we used to do at the cabin as people arrived. They wanted to buy a precooked shrimp ring, but I refused. I cooked shrimp for everyone, which was a change. I wasn’t very domestic when we all lived in Rapid City. I worked full time, and Dave was my house husband.
What an awesome reunion. We all felt so blessed to have each other in our lives.
