March 13, 2019 Goodbye Alice in Marsh Harbour/moved to Elbow Cay
We had a nice breakfast together, then Dave took Alice to the airport. Rinssor picked them up at the Conch Inn.
always have to have a goofy one with this family
Rinssor and Alice
When Dave returned, we all went to shore. Dave dropped us off to head to his favorite bakery for coconut rolls and bread. Then he headed to a fuel dock to fill our jerry cans. Nancy found some conch shells for her grand children in a gift shop as we waited for the bread to come out of the oven. Nancy and I walked to the fuel dock to meet Dave. Nancy saw her first dolphins at the dock.
funny trashcan
After returning to the boat, we moved to Elbow Cay and anchored outside of Hopetown near the lighthouse. Always fun to watch it light at sunset. It is the only lighthouse that is still lit by kerosene. Volunteers also wind the gears every 2 hours, all night long, to keep it rotating, similar to winding a cuckoo clock.
