April 12, 2015 Highbourne Cay, Exumas, Bah

Nassau Harbor sunset last night
This morning, after breakfast, we headed out for the Exumas about 9:00.  This is a chain of islands that are south east of Nassau and stretch over 100 miles.  First we had to call the Nassau Harbor Control to leave the harbor.  No problem this morning.  We had to head SE right into the wind, so it was slower going.  But Joe and Erin enjoyed being on the bow and riding the swells like a rodeo.  And they saw a dolphin swim along with us for awhile.

We anchored at Highborne Cay about 5:00.  There were about 20 boats spread out along a sandy beach.  We had conch salad appetizer while Dave grilled hamburgers.  We had a couple drinks after dinner and went to bed early after a long day in the sun and wind.
