June 24- July4, 2022 Brunswick Landing Marina funcitons with fireworks

June 24 Friday. I went to a women’s lunch at the marina, stayed to do laundry and play cards.  I was worn out and couldn’t stay for happy hour.  Dave was still light headed and tired today, too.
6-25 made it to church, but not much else today.  I guess it will take awhile to bounce back.  We did our normal functions to prepare the boat to be left at the marina during hurricane season, but at a slower pace than usual.
July 2, Pete had today off, so we prepared an early July 4th feast.  I cut up veggies and watermelon.  Dave made a rub for ribs and cooked them in foil in the oven.  He grilled chicken wings and cooked them in a sweet Thai sauce.
I picked up Pete and we stopped at a crab fest on our way back to the marina.  We bought about 8 cooked crabs for $20.  At the boat, Pete and I cleaned them and we ate some during the process.  Dave also made grill bread.  What a fun meal with lots of leftovers.

I have a card playing buddy again!

July 4.  Even though it’s a holiday, you do what you have to do.  Dave changed the outlets for our shore power connections.  We use these when we’re at a dock.  The covers were broken and the outlets were loose in the mounts. The new ones were “beefier”.
Dave fixed the motor mount for the dinghy motor that broke while we were in St Augustine.  Then I assisted with lifting the heavy motor onto the motor mount.
The marina provided ribs for a potluck at 2:00 and the boaters bring sides.  I spent the afternoon visiting.  At 8:30, I went to dock 9 to watch fireworks on friend’s boat, Tim and Tawnya McNair on Knot Quitters.
