On Friday, Dave, Alice and I drove to Le Sueur, MN for the day. While moving, Alice put together several things about here husband, Hap, to take to his oldest son, Joe. We planned to meet Joe and Jean at their house then go out to lunch. The large envelope included pictures, newspaper articles, awards, and other memorabilia. It was so fun watching them go through it together. It was much better than if she had mailed it to them. They really appreciated receiving the package.

Their daughter, Theresa, and her son, Austin, joined us for lunch. Austin brought Alice a bouquet of flowers. So sweet! He really misses her.

After our good-byes, we drove to our friends, the Clausen’s in Apple Valley and spent the night. We had dinner at Moscow on the Hill in St Paul.
Saturday. We had a great breakfast, as always at the Clausen’s. Joe and Erin love to cook. They are in the process of selling their home and moving to a townhouse in Woodbury. They will no longer have a mortgage and hope to join us in the sailing life someday.
We drove back to Cumberland to take Alice home. After our good-byes with Alice, we drove to my sister’s in Aberdeen, SD, Janice and Jim Moore. We thought we’d get a room along the way, but everything was full. So we arrived close to midnight without hitting a deer!
