We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel then boarded the train for Inverness. We had lunch once we arrived. Then we hired a taxi to take us to the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel on Loch Ness. I would not recommend this because it was over the top touristy. People can board a boat to tour the Loch right across the road from the hotel. So there were tons of buses and a huge gift shop in the hotel. They had everything from stuffed “Nessie’s” to anything plaid.

We were under the impression that there would be hiking trails along the Loch, and there were not. The tourists left before dinner. We enjoyed a nice dinner in a second floor dining room with a nice view of the Loch. It is 23 miles long and the deepest spot is 755 feet deep.

We spent the evening making plans for the last 2 weeks in Europe. We really did make plans as we went.
