We spent a couple hours with Margaret before heading to Deadwood for Ski for Light. She made us muffins in a coffee mug in the microwave. Fun treat. I asked her for a needle and thread to patch a bag I use for shower gear. She planned to do some sewing, so she got out her machine and just stitched up the bag for me. It felt like we were with family.
Bev and I offered to help with registration at Ski for Light. So we were at the Mineral Palace by noon. Bev helped with the t-shirts and other swag. I helped with the check in/registration. There were lots of double takes when people saw me. I haven’t been to the event for 4 years. I volunteered for about 22 years when we lived in Rapid City.

our schedule for the week |
That evening, Bev, our brother Don, and I had a light dinner at the Gold Dust Casino by ourselves. On the way back to our room at the Holiday Inn, we watched the first half of the lunar eclipse.
